England beat India in the ICC Women's World Cup final by 9 runs on Sunday. It was a nail-biting end to a tournament which saw many new records being made.

It was a heartbreaking end to the tournament for the Indian team which has performed spectacularly so far, beating England in an early match earlier in the World Cup.
Opener Punam Raut played a brilliant innings, scoring 86 runs in 115 balls. Harmanpreet Kaur's half century came in good time, hitting a couple of sixes in her trademark style. At 191 for 3 wickets, India's chances looked bright.
However, it was the loss of seven wickets in just 6.5 overs that swung the game in England's favour. England's vice captain Anya Shrubsole took six wickets, including taking Raut for an lbw. Shrubsole also helped running out Shikha Pandey during the key last few overs.
Despite their loss in the final match, wishes poured in for the women in blue.
